Sion, called Sitten in German, is the capital of the Canton of Valais. The Old Town, which lies between the hills of Valère and Tourbillon, dates back to the Middle Ages and is home to numerous sights and attractions, such as one of the world's oldest organs that can still be played.

Nestled in the hollow of the Rhone Valley, at the foot of the terraced vineyards, dominated by the castles of Valère and Tourbillon, the Sion Golf Club enjoys a magnificent location that sums up all the beauty of the Valais and has an exceptional panoramic view.

As you explore the alleys of the Old Town, you can really feel the many centuries of history that have given Sion its very special charm.

Sion has so much more to offer than just breathtaking mountain panoramas – surfing enthusiasts will also find plenty to enjoy: Alaïa Bay has been open since spring 2021, inviting surfers of all levels to ride the perfect wave.
