Sarah Lancman will have the honour of bringing this 14th edition of the JAZZ SOUS LES ETOILES festival to a close
The singer’s warm, sensual voice is instantly recognisable. Equally at home performing jazz and French chanson, Sarah Lancman also captivates audiences with her talents as a pianist and composer. In 2012, aged 23 and with a bachelor’s degree in composition, jazz piano and singing under her belt, she won first prize at the Shure Jazz Voice Competition at the Montreux Jazz Festival (Switzerland), which was chaired that year by Quincy Jones. For the festival’s final concert, Sarah will be joined by the excellent Levon Maret, who has swapped his airline pilot’s uniform for his drumsticks and vibraphone. Bänz Oester will be on double bass, displaying the immense talent for which he is renowned.
