Organ Recital with Martin Ennis of Cambridge and Helene Riggenberg of Bern
Martin Ennis is Director of Music at Girton College, University of Cambridge. After completing his studies in Cambridge and Cologne, he earned his doctorate with a dissertation on Brahms and taught for many years at the Cambridge Music Faculty, where he served as chair on several occasions. Since his retirement in 2024, he has maintained an academic affiliation with the faculty.
His research focuses on music analysis, with a particular emphasis on Johannes Brahms. He publishes internationally, gives regular lectures, and organized an international conference on ‚Ein deutsches Requiem‘ in 2018.
In addition to his academic work, Ennis is an internationally sought-after organist, harpsichordist, and conductor. He has performed with renowned ensembles, contributed to numerous recordings, and led the Girton College Choir for nearly twenty years, guiding it to international success.
