Transalpine Run 2026

Introduction
The Transalpine Run starts on August 28, 2026, in Lenzerheide and ends after 7 days and 250 kilometers on September 3.
The completely new route promises a unique alpine and Mediterranean atmosphere, coupled with magnificent and sometimes very secluded trails. Highlights include the Rhine Gorge, the Greina plateau, the Ticino mule tracks and Lake Maggiore.
The first stage starts in Lenzerheide and leads via Urdental to Arosa and back via Rothorn and Alp Sanaspans to Lenzerheide. The second stage leads from Lenzerheide via Alp Lavoz to Ilanz the following day. The start and finish area is the Lenzerheide sports field.
The stage race offers runners from all over the world the unique experience of crossing the Alps ‘by fair means’. The Transalpine Run crosses the Alps in seven stages along unique trails. The TAR covers a total of 250 km: Lenzerheide, Ilanz, Vrin, Olivone, Biasca, Valle Verzasca, Locarno.
