The group accommodation Casa Popolo in Andermatt (Canton Uri) in Central Switzerland, built in 1992 and furnished for higher demands, with its generously furnished kitchen, as well as the lounge on the top floor with its wooden beams, is embedded between the Gotthard, Oberalp and Furka passes, in the Ursen high valley at 1444 m above sea level.
The ski lifts and cable cars are only 5-10 minutes' walk away and take you up to 2961 metres (Gemsstock), from where you can admire the panorama with 600 mountain peaks. The Andermatt-Sedrun ski arena has 70 kilometres of ski runs and 43 kilometres of cross-country ski trails. The railway station and the valley station Gütsch Expess are only about 5 to 10 minutes away from the house. In summer, the valley is ideal for hiking, mountaineering, biking, golfing and much more.
From Zurich or Lugano you can reach the Ursen valley by car on the A2 motorway in only 90 minutes, from the Göschenen exit you can reach Andermatt in 10 minutes.
If you arrive by train, you have to change in Göschenen to the Schöllenenbahn (Matterhorn Gotthardbahn).
The spacious and modern holiday home Casa Popolo Andermatt is located on cycle routes number 1 (Furka Pass), number 2 (Oberalp Pass) and number 3 (Gotthard).
