Inleiding
Every year in mid-August, the alpine farmers of the Triftalp above Saas-Grund invite you to the alpine farmers' festival.
Every year in mid-August, the alpine farmers of the Triftalp above Saas-Grund invite you to the alpine farmers' festival. After the holy mass in the countryside, you can enjoy various regional delicacies. You will also learn interesting facts about local customs and folklore. The highlight of the traditional festival is the crowning of the strongest cow to date and the cow with the highest milk yield.
Program:
- 11:00 a.m.: Holy Mass with the Antrona Yodelling Club
- followed by musical entertainment with Hirschbüebu
- 3:00 p.m.: Coronation of the alpine queen and dairy cow
- from 3:30 p.m.: Saas meat soup
Food:
- Saaser Gsottus
- Raclette
- Bratwurst and Plätzli
Arrival and departure:
- Special fare Saas-Grund – Trift return CHF 10.-
- Last boarding at Trift Station at 6.30 p.m.
