Overzicht
Inleiding
The trail running season has begun, and the Eiger Ultra Trail is fast approaching. As part of a long run, you’ll have the chance to explore the first sections of the event’s course.
MEETING POINT & SHOE TEST
The meeting point is at 10:00 a.m. at the Backdoor Shop in Grindelwald, Dorfstrasse 164, 3818 Grindelwald. Before the start, you can test trail running shoes for free at the Backdoor Shop. The run begins at approximately 10:15 a.m.
ROUTE
The route leads from the Backdoor Shop toward Grosse Scheidegg and on to First (the first sections of trails E101 and E51). From First, the route continues to Bort and then back to Grindelwald via the final section of trail E16.
- Total distance: approx. 21 kilometers
- Elevation gain: approx. 1,200 meters
SHORTCUT OPTIONS
For participants who prefer a shorter route, the following return options are available:
- From Grosse Scheidegg, take the bus to Grindelwald
- From First, take the gondola to Grindelwald
- From Bort, take the gondola to Grindelwald

Participation is at your own risk. Appropriate trail running gear, sufficient food, and water are recommended.
