Double Reading with Demian Cornu and Kathrin Schleuchzer
Overzicht
Inleiding
Two moving novels about the search for identity, love, and belonging between youth, the past, and adulthood.
In "Einmachglas", Demian Cornu portrays a young generation caught between a sterile online reality and the chaotic ecosystem of growing up.
His characters are neither heroes nor victims, but seekers: vulnerable, rebellious, and searching for freedom and belonging.
It is an unflinching portrait of a world where everything is visible, yet hardly anything feels real.
In "Und dann die Wirklichkeit", Kathrin Schleuchzer takes readers to the Bernese suburbs of the 1990s.
Michu and Eli fall in love on the threshold of adulthood, but their young relationship falls apart before it can truly begin.
Years later, they meet again and become involved in an intense affair. In doing so, they must confront not only their shared past, but also the question of who they have become.
