Inleiding
Nestled in the hollow of the Rhone Valley, at the foot of the terraced vineyards, dominated by the castles of Valère and Tourbillon, the Sion Golf Club enjoys a magnificent location that sums up all the beauty of the Valais and has an exceptional panoramic view.
The course
Thanks to the 300 days of sunshine per year, the Sion Golf Club course is one of the only courses in Switzerland open all year round. Our Club is equipped with a large free car park with spaces reserved for electric cars, a vast driving range with quality Titleist NXT Tour balls, a putting green and an approach area. All these facilities are grouped around the clubhouse.
Created in 1995, the first 9 holes were replaced in 2002 by an 18-hole course designed by the famous Swiss golf architect Peter Harradine. It covers 42 hectares. It is a par 70 with a length of 5,543 metres which alternates tactical and technical difficulties which will delight beginners or experienced players.
Gastronomy
The restaurant "Bistro du Golf", renowned and highly appreciated by golfers and visitors, can accommodate 120 guests enjoying an unobstructed view thanks to the bay windows. Equipped with an ultra-modern kitchen, the manager Daniel Loretan, who has been at the helm for more than twenty-seven years, and his partner Anthony Bouron are looking forward to welcoming you, either individually or in groups. This new structure is also suitable for banquets.
