Inleiding
The mostly flat and sunny circuit in the "Ferien- und Sportregion Ybrig" is a pleasure for all cross-country skiers. It adapts to any training and fitness level because of its shortcut opportunities. But one thing remains the same: the natural experience including the Schwyz mountains and two lakes.
Beschrijving
The track starts in the heart of Studen village, passing at a leisurely pace through the wide, open plain against the backdrop of Lake Sihl on one side and the Sihl Valley mountains on the other. There are only three notable inclines on the way: at the Sternenstutz outside Unteriberg village, before the Sitysee lake and on the final stretch before the starting point in Studen.
The wide expanse progressively gives way to a valley in the middle third and after Unteriberg, the valley floor narrows and the track becomes slightly hilly. On the way back, the gently sloping section beyond the Sitysee lake is ideal for some hearty skating as the landscape widens again. Back in Studen, skiers enjoy the amenities in the Nordic Hus, with a variety of services under one roof from showers to a recreation room.
De sleutel voor een prettige wandeltocht is onder andere een zorgvuldige planning. Win op voorhand inlichtingen in bij de plaatselijke informatiedienst over de toestand van het traject en de weersomstandigheden. Afhankelijk van het seizoen en de weersomstandigheden kan de route gesloten of onderbroken zijn.
