Inleiding

Today, snow sports are enjoying unprecedented popularity. In addition to skiing, new trend sports such as freestyle, cross-country skiing or snowshoeing are taking an increasingly important place. The Swiss Snow app is designed to take this framework into account and offer customisability for different sports. Swiss Snow convinces with current and relevant data on all winter sports resorts in Switzerland and a simple menu navigation divided into the following three sections: Dashboard, Discover and Favourites.

Personal Dashboard

With the personal dashboard, users can get a quick overview of their favourite places and the most important data. This data is updated several times a day and provides useful detailed information about winter sports. Users can set their preferred units of measurement in the dashboard and find direct access to the map and the search function with quick links. Switzerland Tourism has the option of displaying a news teaser on the dashboard to communicate important information such as the Covid 19 mask requirement in the ski resorts.

Discover everything in one app

Under the menu item Discover, users can find all important and current information about winter sports. With the intelligent search, users can filter by sport, on the map or by text search. The Discover section is also designed to inspire users to discover new ski resorts, e.g. with the "Nearby" function or the "Best Weather" teaser. Thanks to integrated data from SRF Meteo, weather forecasts can be called up to seven days in advance with hourly temperature forecasts for each destination. All in one place and in one app.

Favourites

The Swiss Snow App focuses on individualisation and personalisation. In the detailed view, users can show and hide personalised data and set the order in which the data is displayed. For example, a cross-country skier can focus on the forecast of the trail temperature in the forest and on the rest of the trail.
In the Favourites tab, users can define their favourite winter locations, edit the widgets and thus set the app according to their personal preferences. The favourites are a simplified overview of the preferred ski areas. This list can be flexibly extended and personalised. For the digital view above the fog cover, high-resolution 360° webcams are now displayed.
