Nearly 230 years ago, the landlord and landlady of the Rosenlaui welcomed their first guests. And in the time-honored “Rosenlaui” you feel catapulted back to the good old Belle-Époque days as soon as you cross the threshold.
The story of this hotel goes way back to the beginning of tourism in Switzerland; the days when first pioneers conquered the Alps and exchanged their tales while seated in the noble rooms of this history-steeped establishment. Today, the guesthouse offers everything that 'modern people' might need: a good way of life amidst a fascinating mountain world. Countless hiking trails through the ruggedly-romantic Reichenbach/Rosenlaui valley, in the fascinating Chaltenbrunnen moor landscape and across the Grosse Scheidegg to Grindelwald (walkers, bus or cyclists).
