For the 800th anniversary of St Francis’ death, Orselina hosts a solemn Concert Mass with Mozart’s Requiem and the new version of «Fratello Sole e Sorella Luna».
Programme
A solemn Concert Mass marking the 800th anniversary of St Francis’ death takes place at Chiesa Madonna del Sasso.
The programme includes:
- Mozart’s Requiem
- the new version of «Fratello Sole e Sorella Luna» by Orfeo Mandozzi, inspired by the Canticle of the Creatures
Performers
Mozart’s Requiem is performed by Gruppo Vocale Cantemus conducted by Līga Liedskalniņa, together with the Orchestra della Svizzera italiana and four soloists. The Mass is celebrated by the Capuchins.
