Overview
Intro
The setting for this wonderful event is Switzerland’s largest cloister—the more than 800-year-old All Saints’ Cloister in Schaffhausen.
This unique atmosphere enhances the pre-Christmas spirit of Schaffhausen’s Old Town with its beautiful Christmas lights.
The market grounds extend from Vordergasse through Münstergasse to the All Saints Monastery District (Klosterstrasse, Münsterplatz, Münstervorhof, Münsterabsenkung, Kreuzgang, and Pfalzhof). During market hours, the entire market area is car-free and no vehicle access is permitted. Visitors are advised to use public transportation whenever possible to get there. From the Schaffhausen train station, it’s less than a 5-minute walk to the Christmas market. For visitors who must travel by car, we recommend the nearby parking garages: Herrenacker, Herrenacker Süd, and Stricki.
