Blausee Trail
Overview
Intro
Short and sweet: this circuit from the car-free sun terrace of Melchsee-Frutt up to the magical Blauseeli takes just one hour, but it offers an impressive mountain panorama as well as superb peace and quiet. At the end there is time to pop into the village of Frutt-Dörfli.
Description
The car-free area of Melchsee-Frutt with the lakes Melchsee and Tannensee is surrounded by mountain ranges that almost completely enclose the upland plateau. Its location makes it ideal for snowshoe tours.
Surrounded by an impressive mountain chain – Brünighaupt, Hochstollen, Glogghuis and Rothorn – the snowshoe trail leads into the idyllic Blausee area, which is popular among fly fishers in the summer. The terrain is fairly flat but still offers unique winter flair amid an unspoilt snow-covered landscape. The view up to the Hochstollen peak is magnificent.
The trail is ideal for beginners and for families with children, not least because it passes through the Fruttliland children’s paradise on the way back to Melchsee-Frutt, offering a range of different play facilities. The entire circuit takes a good hour, so afterwards there is plenty of time to pop into the car-free Frutt-Dörfli village.
An enjoyable tour includes the careful planning of the same. Please inform yourself in advance at the local information center about the route and weather conditions. Depending on the season and weather conditions, this route may be blocked or interrupted
