Cross-country skiing directly in the city – the city trail Kreuzbleiche makes this possible! The shape of an eight divides it into two sections, whereof one is slightly more difficult and also includes an incline and a starting section.
Description
The city trail is located in the centre of the city St. Gallen, only a few walking minutes away from the main railway station on the sports facility Kreuzbleiche. There, where in summer the soccer matches of the local team of St. Gallen take place, in winter the city trail invites for cross-country skiing.
The city line is aligned in the shape of an eight, which divides it into two sections. The short round in the flat part is particularly suitable for beginners, while the long trail has a short incline and the short decline at the bayonet hill is also challenging for skilled cross-country skiers.
Thanks to the floodlight system of the sports facility the trail is lighted until 10.00 p.m. It is thus perfect to enjoy the evening. The restaurant at the side of the trail cares for physical welfare. Thank to the central location the city trail is easily reachable.
