Intro
Driving from the village of Appenzell, via station square and Stossplatz southward, one encounters the noteworthy new building of the Kunsthalle Ziegelhütte.
This "must-see" art hall in a former brick factory has a kiln dating back to 1566, which visitors can in fact walk around in. Changing art exhibits from the 20th and 21st century can be viewed on the three new floors that have been added to the building.
On the second floor, works of the painter Liner senior and of his son are exhibited. The kiln plateau is suitable for events of all kinds. Outstanding concerts are presented in the architecturally interesting Ziegelhütte on the first Friday of each month. Experience and enjoy these live performances!
