Intro

Whether it be computers, gambling, sex, shopping or sport - behavioural addiction comes in many forms.

An addiction exists when behaviour becomes compulsive, has harmful consequences on health and social life and control is lost. Treatment can be given as an outpatient, semi-inpatient or as an inpatient - depending on the individual's condition and circumstances. The goal always remains the return to a self-determined life, which can be achieved by strengthening self-confidence, emotional and mental control and good stress management.
