Intro
The Echo of Celtic and Folk Music in the Heart of French-Speaking Switzerland
The Gaelic word “Sealladh” means “vision” or “gaze”—an artistic promise that this acoustic trio from French-speaking Switzerland fulfills with every note. Born out of the collaboration between three passionate musicians and educators—Myrthe Rozeboom on flute, Nicolette “Niko ” Regard on violin, and Florian Desbaillet on guitar—the group has made it its mission to explore the worlds of Celtic, Irish, and modern folk music. By weaving the subtlety and virtuosity of fingerstyle guitar into original arrangements, SEALLADH reinvents the traditional repertoire to offer a sonic experience that is at once intimate, modern, and deeply vibrant. These exceptional artists share a unique synergy that instantly captivates audiences, whether they’re seated in the cozy atmosphere of a concert hall or in the heart of an outdoor festival. The sensitivity of the pieces they perform ranges from spellbinding traditional music to medleys of Scottish and Irish jigs. The warm reception from audiences and critics alike has confirmed the trio’s strong foothold in the Swiss cultural landscape, where they have delivered a string of acclaimed performances, from the vibrant stages of the Geneva Automnales to intimate gatherings in French-speaking Swiss towns such as Russin. But SEALLADH’s music knows no borders: drawing on its universal appeal, the group has already taken its warm melodies abroad—notably during an acoustic tour through Portugal—and continues to share behind-the-scenes glimpses with a growing community on its Instagram page.
