Elegant, charming and cosy with the atmosphere of a luxurious private villa. The historic building dates from the 17th century and was previously a monastery. It has been renovated with care and love to become a wonderful calming retreat for romantics and connoisseurs.

Twelve unique bedrooms designed during the renovation of a patrician villa from the 17th-century. Each room has its own distinctive design and has been furnished with natural and refined materials, to make guests feel wrapped in a magical and welcoming atmosphere.
Memorable moments include dining at ristorante La Sorgente – which offers a menu that emphasizes locally sourced ingredients, and visiting its own 150-hectare organic wine estate - Tenuta Castello di Morcote. A family-run estate crowned by a magnificent Medieval Castle, where guests can enjoy wonderful experiences related to the world of wine and gastronomy.

We are a 150-hectare family-run organic wine estate, including seven hectares of terraced vineyards and olive groves, located on a promontory surrounded by Lake Lugano.
At the heart of the estate stands the only Medieval Castle in the region. The 15th-century walls enclose an enchanting place, with courtyards and gardens from which you can enjoy spectacular views.
A few steps from the Castle, in the centre of our vineyards, you can find the wine cellar, created from the renovated stone farmhouse. Here, tradition and innovation meet, creating the perfect atmosphere to truly experience our world of wine.
