Christmas in Geneva
Overview
Intro
Although the Noël au Quai Christmas market is held in the heart of Geneva, it is a world away from the hustle and bustle of the city. This is the ideal place to relax with a mulled wine and delicious “moitié-moitié” fondue.
The "Noël au Quai" is a world of wonder that delights children and adults alike. Giant Christmas baubles and chandeliers hang from tall trees and fairy lights are reflected in the lake. Meanwhile, the scent of cinnamon and mulled wine wafts over the wintry scenery.
After the first edition in the Parc des Bastions and its magic in the Jardin Anglais, the Christmas market will light up the Quai du Mont-Blanc from this year onwards. Here, right on the lakeshore, people from Geneva and guests from all over the world come together to shop for Christmas presents, eat and celebrate. Several dozen street food stalls invite you to sample local and international delicacies. In the Christmas Pub, DJs create an exuberant atmosphere for winter aperitifs with the latest sounds. And in the large chalet with its Swedish stove, fondue "moitié-moitié" with local white wine is served in a ski hut atmosphere.
Meanwhile, children can take a spin on the historic carousel or make Christmas presents in a specially equipped yurt. The "Noël au Quai" can also be experienced from a bird's eye view on the Ferris wheel. From the lofty heights, you not only have a view of the Christmas market, but also of the glistening lights of the metropolis. An unforgettable experience!
Admission to "Noël au Quai" is free of charge. If you would like to eat fondue in the chalet, you should book in advance.
