Gepäckausgabe Glarus - weather forecast
Overview
Intro
How do we write and move as ghosts? During their two-week residency, weather forecast will conduct research and write about ghosts, bodies, and the weather.
WHAT IS YOUR DEFINITION OF A GHOST?
How do we write and move as ghosts?
What is a ghost, anyway?
When and how does a ghost move and live?
And what do grief and an ingrown toenail have to do with it?
Write down your definitions of a ghost and drop them in the mailbox (the
tissue box that will be on display in the exhibition from June 29 to July 5). In doing so, you’ll be contributing to a
growing lexicon that will be used for workshops and texts.
During their two-week residency, weather forecast will collect the definitions of ghosts
and build upon them. They will research and write about ghosts, bodies, and the weather.
The resulting text will be read aloud during the opening reception on July 18.
For the duration of the exhibition, July 19–25, the exhibition space will remain
open to visitors.

devote their artistic work to grief. The weather serves as the starting point for their
somatic writing practice: unpredictable rain, storms, heat, fleeting
rainbows, passing clouds, and the sense of time evoked by fog become vessels that
enable them to write about emotions and develop spaces in which grief can be
shared. Their collaborative practice is shaped by their work with scores, affect theory, queer and
Crip theory, as well as literary texts. Excerpts from these texts offer points of entry for
writing and movement.
