The life in the 19th to the 20th century, schooling, housework and life in an agricultural village with work at home for contractors.

In the attic storey the history of Rothrist is shown. The focus lays on the emigration to the USA in 1855 due to the poverty of the village and the whole canton of Aargau. The background why our canton became so poor is showed in this exhibition.

In the stable next to the farmhouse, we have an exhibition of old agricultural and craftmen's tools.
