Intro
The exploration trail begins above the Schlucher-Treff restaurant in Malbun and involves a variety of tasks for explorers of all ages at several stations over a length of 1.4 kilometres.
The explorer trail comprises ten stations and begins at the “Schlucher-Treff” restaurant as you enter Malbun. Here you’ll find the weather station and a sundial. Kids will learn interesting facts about the sun, clouds, air and wind and solve their first task. The next stop is the stone fountain, where another challenge awaits. There’s also a chance to discover the flora and fauna in the Alpine region and to solve search challenges, stone table memory and musical tasks. The stations were made from natural material, primarily stone.
Explorers will also need provisions and equipment for the roughly two-hour voyage of discovery. The rucksack, which can be picked up in return for a deposit at the Malbun Centre, contains, among other things, a magnifying glass, a ruler, an LED light, a kit for making a water wheel and a journal with questions, drawings and tasks relating to the various stations.
If you complete the research path, you can look forward to a grand finale: the explorer’s throne. In summary: imaginary play, adventure, fun and games are guaranteed in Malbun. And not just for kids either.
