Äbnimatt Bike
Overview
Intro
This Alpine tour combines forest paths, trails gnarled with roots and historic villages – from Binn to Ernen to the holiday village of Fiesch. It is suitable for sporty individuals with biking experience.
Description
This tour begins in Binn, with a gentle climb on a pretty forest path to Äbnimatt – the perfect start to a real mountain biking experience. Because it soon gets more exciting: There are many surprises on the trail down to Bärg, including passages gnarled with roots, narrow bends and small technical challenges – a pleasure for skilled all-mountain and endurance cyclists.
The next section takes you through the dense, mossy-green Schlundwald forest, which is calm, cool and mysterious. After passing through the Ärnerwald forest, a panoramic view opens up towards Ernen. When you reach the village, it’s worth taking a detour into its historic centre, which features a baroque church and cobblestone alleys.
Finally, the connecting paths wind towards Fiesch with panoramic views – an impressively scenic finale. This tour combines Alpine wildness with cultural highlights. It’s aimed at sporty cyclists who value experiencing nature and the special atmosphere.
