You’re sure to feel in perfect harmony with nature during this snowshoe experience in the region of Aletsch Arena. Over the course of the hike you will climb up through forests with snow-covered trees and along the Heimatt trail until you reach Fiescheralp.
Description
The hike starts at the level of the valley, in Fiesch, one of the main starting points for the region of Aletsch. The village of Fiesch has been able to preserve its heritage and is home to several traditional chalets.
The path then continues and winds through the snowy forest up to Fiescherstafel, the perfect place to take a moment and recharge your batteries. You will then leave the forest behind you and continue your journey uphill on open ground. The path continues alongside the Heimatt trail to take you to the Fiescheralp resort (2,212m), the finishing point of this very popular snowshoe hike which requires you to be in good physical condition.
This, incidentally, is the ideal moment to have a rest after your climb and enjoy a clear and magnificent view of the summits. You can also reach Eggishorn by cable car from the Fiescheralp resort in order to enjoy the view from even higher up.
