Hegau-Route
Overview
Intro
This cross-border route takes you through the diverse Reiat, past Hemishofen and back to the Munot town, Schaffhausen. The focus of this route is one of Europe's most scenic countrysides along the Rhine.
Description
In addition to cultural and historical highlights such as the Kesslerloch in Thayngen, the Reiat offers an impressive view onto the volcanic landscape of the Hegau. Known for the wealth of art and culture in a fascinating natural environment, the destination Stein am Rhein proudly impresses.
Schaffhausen, gently nestled between the Rhine and Randen, offers a balancing act between traditional and modern times. After following the river Biber for a short bit, you will pass the German-Swiss border at Bietingen. Back in Switzerland, the route runs via Buch and Ramsen along the Biber up to Stein am Rhein.
Let yourself be treated to culinary delights in Schaffhauserland and be inspired by each individual restaurant, accompanied by the best wines of Schaffhausen's Blauburgunderland
