Creators Cut Switzerland – The City Tour Episode 3: Zurich
Intro
Combining global technology with vibrant, local scenes, Zurich offers a city full of contrasts. Here, quiet moments meet vibrant city life, hidden corners meet iconic highlights – and it is precisely these contrasts that the creators discover in their latest Swiss City Challenge.
After their experiences in Geneva and Basel, Chris and Eren are now reaching the last stop of their Swiss Cities Challenge: Zurich. As before, they split up again and explore the city individually." Each creates a daily schedule for the other, tailored to the respective contrasts and thus discovers new perspectives, hidden places and unforgettable highlights that show Zurich from its versatile side.
In Zurich, time moves in two directions. Between haste and calm, life finds its rhythm.
On Lake Zurich, Chris and Eren start the day relaxed on a sauna boat – a classic slow flow experience that offers them a peaceful start to their adventures in the city. They then go their own ways and explore Zurich, each matching their contrast.
Chris dedicates himself to the contrast "Slow Flow vs Fast Pace". At Paradeplatz, he immerses himself in the beating heart of Zurich, feels the speed of the city and collects his first impressions of the fast pace. Then he changes his perspective: In the China Garden, he finds peace and serenity – an idyllic place that makes "slow flow" come alive in the middle of the metropolis. For him, Zurich is a city full of contrasts: Hectic and quiet at the same time, urban and relaxed.
Eren explores the contrast "Hidden vs Iconic". His day begins iconically with a ride on the Polybahn up to ETH Zurich, where he enjoys an impressive view over the city. Then he discovers hidden places off the beaten track: The quarter on the upper Letten, small alleys with a cosy flair and finally the red tower. The highlight of his hidden-to-iconic day is the Prime Tower: Outstanding, central, with fine cafes and impressive architecture, a symbol of modern Zurich that fits perfectly into its route.
At the end, Chris and Eren meet again, discuss their experiences and review the days in Switzerland. Zurich shows itself to them as a city of contrasts: Monumental buildings and hidden corners, fast rhythm and quiet moments. Their challenges make the diversity of the city visible and show that every angle reveals new stories.
With all these impressions, the creators look back on their journey of discovery with satisfaction, full of inspiration and new perspectives on Switzerland.
