Intro
Snowshoeing through nature's hushed stillness, under firs laden with fresh snow, in Brüsti near the Chulm mountains. The icing on the cake: a beautiful view stretching far down the Urner Reuss valley.
Description
The starting point of this route is the mountain station of the Attinghausen-Brüsti aerial cableway. After a short ascent, the lookout point "Kreuz" (Schwanden Nossen) rewards snowshoers with a wonderful panorama over the Urner Reuss valley. From there, the trail leads past holiday chalets to its highest point, the Nossenboden. To the south, the alp Waldnacht is visible along with the Sonnigenstöcken. To the north lies the Chulmen hiking region.
The route zigzags down the slope to Rämseliboden, then continues through open terrain and dreamy woodland sections. Just as you emerge from the woodland, you come to the ski slope. Now the trail heads upwards, past the old ski jump, running almost parallel to the descent route. From the Alp Catrina (formerly Z'Graggen mountain inn), the trail runs back into the ascent route and returns to the Brüsti mountain station.
Those who have not had their fill of this winter wonderland can choose from a variety of additional routes, with options for beginners and expert snowshoers.
An enjoyable tour includes the careful planning of the same. Please inform yourself in advance at the local information center about the route and weather conditions. Depending on the season and weather conditions, this route may be blocked or interrupted
