Outdoor Sculptures in the Canton of Nidwalden
The “Ennetbürgen Sculpture Park” is an outdoor exhibition of sculptures and art installations in the municipality of Ennetbürgen, right next to the Buochs Airfield. The exhibition is open year-round, free to the public, and wheelchair accessible.
The open-air exhibition has been in existence since 2006 and is continuously updated and expanded with new works. Currently, visitors can view around 40 sculptures by 38 artists—primarily from Switzerland, Germany, and the Netherlands. The Skulptur Schweiz Foundation has engaged art historian Thomas Kain to serve on the exhibition’s curatorial board and oversee temporary projects.
The “Ennetbürgen Sculpture Park” is operated by the Skulptur Urschweiz Foundation. This foundation, in turn, is supported by patrons, sponsors, the municipality of Ennetbürgen, and the canton of Nidwalden.
