Intro

The Habsburg family originated in Aargau and was one of the most prominent aristocratic dynasties in Europe in the Middle Ages. A walk along the Habsburg Path will bring their moving history to life in the impressive places where it all happened.

You can set off hiking wherever you like and at any time –  on three day-long stages, you’ll find numerous info points affixed to the signposts telling you exciting stories about the aristocratic Habsburg family and how the average person used to live.
The information sites posted along the Baden–Brugg, Brugg–Wildegg and Bremgarten–Muri stages, with their castles, churches and abbeys, are ideal places to take a welcome short break.

Young guests love  “Habi”, the feathered member of the Habsburg family and their loyal companion at every stage, who takes both children and adults on a fascinating journey back through time to the Habsburg era.
