Madeleine and Nick always knew their wedding would be in Switzerland. With family roots in the region and a shared love of nature and design, they chose Portes des Iris, a sprawling estate surrounded by iris fields, as the setting for their celebration. The weekend began with a welcome party at the Beau-Rivage Palace, bright, joyful, and drenched in summer yellow.

Guests arrived through endless fields of blooming irises before the ceremony, which was tucked into a forest along a quiet equestrian alley. The setting felt intimate and almost secret, like something out of a film. The artistic direction by The W Day leaned into every bit of that natural beauty, layering the design with soft, organic details that made the surroundings the real star.

The reception carried the same sense of effortless beauty. Cocktails were inspired by the soft hues of the surrounding blooms, and the dinner design blended lush florals with clean, modern styling. Every table, every arrangement, every detail felt considered but never overdone. The overall effect was romantic, artistic, and deeply personal to the couple.

From the iris fields to the forest ceremony to the lakeside elegance, Madeleine and Nick created a wedding that felt cinematic and real at the same time.
