Gravelbike Mountain World of Graubünden
Overview
Intro
Graubünden Gravel Adventure from Klosters to Flims This tour on well maintained gravel paths links together some of Graubünden’s most spectacular natural and cultural landscapes.
You ride from Klosters over remote passes, past sun darkened Walser settlements and along the imposing slopes of the Chur Alps. After a magnificent panoramic view over Chur and the Rhine Valley, the tour continues through the Domleschg landscape dotted with castles and makes a large loop around the monumental UNESCO World Heritage site of the Rhine Gorge. Along this section, historic places such as Valendas – home to Europe’s largest wooden fountain – and the charming old town of Ilanz add to the fascination, before you climb the sunny slopes of the Surselva. In the dense Uaul Grond forest lies the emerald green Lake Cauma, and from a bird’s eye view you admire the Ruinaulta before finishing the tour in the Flims nature arena.
