Wedding

More than a fairytale castle: all the ingredients for a dream wedding are combined in the historic Château Gütsch. Its privately owned park is the most beautiful setting for an outdoor summer celebration, offering the world-famous views of the city of Lucerne, Lake Lucerne and the mountains. From the grounds, which are connected to Wifi throughout, the "lifetime memories" can be sent all over the world at once. Up to 80 guests may be seated in the light-flooded ballroom, and as many as 120 in the panorama restaurant Lumières. The rustic wine cellar is ideal for aperitifs and intimate dinners, while the atmospheric American Bar serves signature cocktails. The hotel offers its very own wedding planner to assist with ceremony decorations, flowers, photo shoots and transport. The wedding party can stay in five romantic suites and 32 lovingly designed double rooms. For the wedding couple itself, the exclusive William Turner Suite with its own private and lake-facing terrace, is a must.

Meetings

The breathtaking views of the city of Lucerne, Lake Lucerne and the Alps are known to have enthralled Queen Victoria as well as world stars and artists. Château Gütsch sits majestically surrounded by greenery above the “city of lights” and yet is easily accessible, not least with an inclined lift on the old funicular railway line. In the Lumières restaurant, gourmet chef Ludovico de Vivo showcases Mediterranean cuisine with an international flair – in fine weather also available al-fresco on the terrace. Social gatherings can be enjoyed in the Lucerne institution "American Bar" under bar manager Mike Müller and also in the castle cellar "Cave". Meetings or celebrations may be held in the ballroom, the restaurant Lumières, very intimate in the wine cellar, or the castle garden with a view of the lake and the mountains among other places. Getting there

Lucerne offers a wide network of bus and train lines. From Lucerne main station, take bus no. 2,12 and 18 to the Gütsch bus stop. Nearby is the Gütsch cable car, which will take you right up to the hotel. Tickets are free for hotel guests from 2017. A ride on the new Gütsch cable car takes exactly 100 seconds.
