Hotels in Lugano

Steeped in tradition, the International au Lac Historic Lakeside Hotel has been in family hands since 1906 and is the only lakeshore hotel in the historic centre of Lugano to have its own parking garage, garden and swimming pool. It had the honorary title "Historic Hotel" bestowed on it by the ICOMOS jury of UNESCO in 2007 and is now a listed building. Although it has consistently modernized in line with the changing needs of its guests, it has forfeited none of its old world charm.

The former residence of a Russian aristocratic family built in 1880 is still one of the most splendid „Small Luxury Hotels of the World“. The 39 rooms and 33 suites all offer a magnificent view of the lake and the park. The hotel features three restaurants: Ristorante La Rucola, Le Relais with 15 GaultMillau points and Galleria Arté al Lago with 16 GaultMillau points. Ten conference and event halls, wellness zone, indoor pool, Clarins beauty corner, Danilo hairstyling, private terrace at the lakeshore.
