Intro
Switzerland's lowest and highest point at a glance: Lake Maggiore to the south, the Valais Alps with the Dufourspitze to the west. All just five minutes from the town of Locarno.
At the arrival of the Cardada cable car, a panoramic footbridge rises elegantly between the treetops. As you walk along, you get the feeling of 'flying' towards the Brissago Islands.
From Cardada to Cimetta, a 2-seater chairlift runs parallel to the guideway, so that all guests can enjoy the breathtaking panorama during the journey.
The geological observatory in Cimetta presents small rock samples from the European and African continental plates, as well as panoramic panels about the mountains near and far.
Cardada Cimetta offers a wide range of hiking trails, from leisurely strolls to more challenging mountain tours. Thanks to its location between the Maggia and Verzasca valleys, Cardada Cimetta is the ideal starting point for hikes in both valleys or even higher up with the 'Via Alta Vallemaggia' trek. Whether you follow these route suggestions or create your own itinerary, literally all roads are open here!

A Foto Spot Grand Tour of Switzerland, a small reflexology trail, Nordic walking trails, an orienteering trail, MTB Trail 397, Geocaching: the world's largest GPS treasure hunt to discover small hidden objects, as well as a paragliding take-off point.
Families are also welcome: a 1.2-kilometre play trail is equipped with special games, but children can also have fun in the two play areas, with the Noah's Ark game, on the giant bench, playing giant chess next to the giant game of Tic-tac-toe, with the #swingtheworld swing and the fun treasure hunt with the help of mascot Squitty, or relaxing by the heart-shaped pond.
Five restaurants/huts round off the offer with various Ticino delicacies.
