Intro
Die Cappella Mediterranea, Chœur de chambre Namur und Leonardo García-Alarcón präsentieren sakrale und weltliche Musik von kolonialistischen Komponisten des barocken Lateinamerikas.
Sakrale und weltliche Musik des barocken Südamerikas:
Leonardo García-Alarcóns musikalische Reise führt von der Polyphonie der iberischen Halbinsel zur sakralen Musik Lateinamerikas. Er stellt spanische und portugiesische Komponisten vor, die sich aufmachten, die Neue Welt zu erobern. Dort liessen sie sich von lokalen Traditionen inspirieren, um eine Form der geistlichen Musik zu schaffen, die zugleich fröhlich, tiefgründig und triumphierend ist.
