Overview
Intro
The Morges International Organ Festival is organised by the AOMR
Association of Friends of the Organs of Morges and the Surrounding Region.
Held in September and October, at the beginning of the new cultural season, the Festival aims to become a major event in Morges’s musical life. It brings together internationally renowned soloists and ensembles, while offering a prestigious stage to artists and groups from the region.
Deeply rooted in the region’s cultural heritage, the organ, in both its classical and contemporary forms, allows audiences to rediscover historical and artistic traditions that sometimes remain little known. Its extensive repertoire reflects the evolution of musical language and encompasses an exceptional body of works spanning from the Renaissance to the present day.
Renowned organists, instrumentalists and choirs come together in Morges to present outstanding concerts and offer audiences unforgettable moments through powerful, diverse and moving works.
