Intro

Seit dem Jahr 2000 herrscht in Lachen jeweils vom Freitagabend bis Montagabend während vier Tagen Jubel, Trubel, Heiterkeit für alle Feierlustigen.

die Lachner Chilbi blickt auf eine mehrhundertjährige Tradition zurück. Seit 1711 war der Tag der Kirchweihe und das damit jährlich folgende Kirchenfest Kreuzerhöhung mit einem Jahrmarkt verbunden. Aus Anlass der Beendigung der Renovation der Pfarrkirche im Jahr 1883 beschlossen die Lachner, einen grossen Festanlass durchzuführen. Das Kirchweihefest fiel damals auf den 2. September 1883. Seither findet die Lachner Chilbi immer am ersten Septemberwochenende auf den Plätzen am See und der dazugehörige Warenmarkt in den Gassen im Dorfzentrum von Lachen statt.
