Saint-Nicolas in Avenches

Intro
St. Nicholas invites you to parade and share an enjoyable moment with him !
Accompanied by his faithful little donkey, who tirelessly carries the presents for the children, Saint Nicholas – escorted by Père Fouettard – makes his way down Rue Centrale by torchlight and to the sound of drums. Saint Nicholas then welcomes each child to his side to give them a little treat. The procession sets off at 6.30 pm from the Collège Sous-Ville and heads to the Catholic Church.
Extend the evening at the Christmas Village!
After the procession, the Veterans invite you to join them in the church square until 10 pm to prolong the magic of Saint Nicholas’s Day in a warm and festive atmosphere.
On the menu: platters, hot dogs, soup, sausages and macaroni and cheese, not to mention drinks for young and old alike.
It’s the perfect opportunity to enjoy a feast, catch up and share a lovely time with family or friends.
