Schlemmer-Markt
Overview
Intro
Delicious salads, piadina, mushroom dishes, juices and much more always make the hearts of gourmets beat faster on Monday at the gourmet market.
The "Schlemmer-Markt" offers a varied and delicious range of food at a central location in Basel's city center. It expands the offer of the city market, which takes place from Tuesday to Saturday. On Mondays, the marketplace becomes a meeting place for all those who want to enjoy a spontaneous and uncomplicated meal.
The market is aimed at both lovers of more traditional food offerings and people who are open to new food trends, such as those from the street food movement. In particular, the need for fun, creative, healthy and yet fast and uncomplicated food options is taken into account. A wide range of culinary delights is on offer: from curry sausages and grilled products, mushroom dishes, Thai food, fish crispies, french fries in different variations, piadinas and various sandwiches to baked goods and café specialties to lunch menus with and without meat. Numerous seating areas invite you to linger in the marketplace.
