S’enraciner dans les ruines / Dorothée Thébert & Filippo Filliger (event in French)
Overview
Intro
The project began with Dorothée Thébert and Filippo Filliger working on the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
The project began with Dorothée Thébert and Filippo Filliger working on the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. As if to interact with this text, they wrote it on the city's pavements. This simple gesture provoked encounters with passers-by, full of questions about political action and fears about the deterioration of our living conditions on Earth.
Thanks to a diversion into a garden, thanks to a moment of suspended time, the duo continued their reflection on human rights and our relationship with nature, two closely linked and interdependent worlds. If this relationship with the living is in ruins today, so too are relationships on a human scale, which are also undermined by capitalism. We are walking on the rubble of our relationship with otherness.
