Swiss National Day - Avenches
Overview
Intro
The traditional celebration of the National Day is an opportunity for the inhabitants to meet and share a moment of conviviality
Children’s entertainment, concerts, fireworks, food stalls and bars on 1 August at the Place du Casino in Avenches
5.00 pm: Doors open and lantern-decorating workshop for children
5.30 pm: Background music with Örgelifründe Murtensee
7.00 pm: Accordion performance featuring Mr Ignazio Cassis, Federal Councillor
8.00 pm: Concert by SONIQ
9.30 pm: Mini torchlight procession for children
10.00 pm: Fireworks
10.30 pm: SONIQ concert continues
Meals: booking required by 27 July 2026
Shuttles will run between 5.00 pm and 12.15 am between the villages of Donatyre and Oleyres and the Place du Casino
