That’s what awaits you on the La Chaux-de-Fonds Food Tour, a culinary experience that truly heads off the beaten path. At each of the four stops, you’ll discover a unique aspect of the city. As you fill your stomachs and your minds, you will discover La Chaux-de-Fonds in a whole new light.
The adventure begins at La Chaux-de-Fonds tourist office, where you will be given your city exploration pack. This contains a map featuring the food stops along our tour, brochures about the city, and a small welcome gift. Once you have received all of this and everything has been explained, the culinary experience can begin. (All of the food and drinks mentioned in this text are included in the La-Chaux-de-Fonds Food Tour package price).
Stop 1: Hall’titude (between 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.)
Dive into the covered market, where the Maison du Fromage Chez Sterchi offers you the chance to enjoy the unparalleled taste of local cheeses, accompanied by a glass of wine. An authentic culinary experience that will awaken your senses.Stop 2: Union Restaurant (Restaurant L'Amuse-Bar for Saturday visitors) (between 11:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.)
This restaurant, which can be found nestled in the Swiss Italian-style theatre, serves up delicious food in a chic industrial setting. Choose between the succulent classic cheese burger or the dish of the day. Both come served with a glass of wine. For a gourmet experience that combines flavour and style.Stop 3: Marji’s Sweetys (Okapi coffee shop for Saturday visitors) (between 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.)
Marji runs a charming shop and tea room, and makes her very own cupcakes. Choosing just one out of all of these colourful cupcakes is a real challenge! This sweet treat really is the cherry on top of our gourmet outing.Stop 4: Espacité Tower (between 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.)
Now it’s time to let everything digest on our final stop, which takes you up above La Chaux-de-Fonds. From the top of the Espacité Tower, you can enjoy a local coffee while taking in the breathtaking views over the city.
