The name says it all, what more can we say? With views over Lake Lucerne and the Mythen, this is the perfect tour for anybody who enjoys a spectacular panorama.
Description
This route has everything a biker dreams of: after a leisurely ascent on a tarred mountain road comes a nice combination of gravel paths and single tracks. The route passes through the holiday houses on Rotifluh, past the Eggeli farmhouse. The bikers enjoy the beautiful views of the lake and mountains during the ride down over the sweet smelling meadows.
But then full concentration is required. A tricky descent – some call it rough – leads to the Choltalstrasse. Once this point is reached it gets much easier and you can take a breather. The route takes you back to the starting point.
You can also turn right onto the Choltal-strasse und go up into the valley. There are picnic spots and public BBQ’s 2km further upstream, where you can let the brake discs cool down again.
An enjoyable tour includes the careful planning of the same. Please inform yourself in advance at the local information center about the route and weather conditions. Depending on the season and weather conditions, this route may be blocked or interrupted
