Intro

Over hills and dales, along the most spectacular railway routes on earth – or perhaps you would prefer to immerse yourself in the world of Heidi. On these family hikes, everything is possible – and as an added bonus, the mountains are always a little cooler than the valleys on hot summer days.

Walk along the largest moor lake in Switzerland

It starts at the Moulin de la Gruère bus stop. From here, take the trail up to the Etang de la Gruère nature reserve. The route leads along the largest moor lake in Switzerland and over springy marshland, wooden walkways and quaint bridges. Information boards along the trail inform young and old about the flora and fauna in the environment around them. The path then goes onwards to the destination of Saignelégier.
