Backyard Race 2026

Ski Lodge Engelberg and The Mountain Studio are delighted to welcome you to our Engelberg Backyard Race! This is our own take on a classic Backyard Ultra. Whether you’re an experienced ultra-runner or tackling your first running challenge – we’d be absolutely delighted to welcome you on the day. It’s all about pushing your own limits and helping friends set new personal bests. The race format consists of a 6.7 km loop, which you run every hour on the hour until you can no longer complete a lap within the time limit. You can register for our Race Edition, Collector Edition or Team Edition.

Race Edition – Give it your all right from the start at 08:00 and see how many laps you can complete within the time limit.

Collector Edition – You can start on the hour and collect as many laps as you like throughout the day. You choose your start time, can take a break and skip a lap to recharge your batteries. Collect as many laps as you like to set a new personal best.

Team Edition – Share the challenge with a friend! In the Team Edition, you and your teammate take turns running every other lap. One runs, one rests – then you swap. See how many laps you can complete as a team throughout the day.

Entry fee: Early bird (until 30 April): CHF 65 – including T-shirt

Late registration (1–15 May): CHF 75 – including T-shirt

Last minute (15 May–13 June): CHF 65 – excluding T-shirt
