The excursion leads through typical mountain pine forests to Alp Stabelchod - one of the world’s most intensively researched Alpine pastures. This is also the playground of a family of marmots. The journey continues on to the rest area at the far end of Val da Stabelchod, where you can see the rock cave where a total of 26 bearded vultures were released into the wild between 1991 and 2007. The path leads between Edelweiss and Gentian up to the stunning Margunet lookout point. Watch out for deer and chamois along the way. During the lunch break, Alpine jackdaws entertain the guests with their daring flight manoeuvres and with a bit of luck a bearded vulture might drop by.
