Switzerland aims to become a dream destination for romantic weddings.
Wedding planners from all corners of the globe discovered the advantages of Switzerland for organising and staging romantic weddings during a trip arranged by Switzerland Tourism in the Lake Geneva Region and the Bernese Oberland. Montreux Riviera, Lausanne, Gstaad, Spiez, Thun and Interlaken were just some of the stops on their trip from 28 September to 1 October 2019. As well as discovering scenery and infrastructure, they also shared their expertise with members of the Organization of Swiss Wedding Planners. This was one of the features of the trip that they most appreciated.
I am so overwhelmed with Swiss hospitality and what your beautiful country has to offer. I would absolutely love to be able to plan a wedding in Switzerland and will certainly endorse the beautiful places as best I can.
As told Malini Ganju, representative of MS Tours & Travel in Great Britain, "after the success of a prenuptial event we organized last February in St. Moritz for 850 guests from India, we received many requests concerning Switzerland and we wanted to see other destinations. Gstaad seems to be ideal for family celebrations and Lausanne and Montreux are perfect for Indian weddings, which usually take place between November and March". All the participants appreciated their meetings with hoteliers, as well as their visit to outstanding wedding locations, such as Les Portes des Iris and Maison Buttin-de-Loës in the Canton of Vaud. "This trip was an ideal opportunity to discover that Switzerland offers fantastic wedding venues at very affordable prices", commented Stephan Baroni, who heads the Colin Cowie Lifestyle agency in New York.
It was everything I had hoped and dreamed it would be and more! Each location had it’s own charm complete with gorgeous views in every direction, and everyone involved in the trip went above and beyond to ensure we had an enjoyable & informative experience.
