What sets Swisstainable destinations apart?

All Swisstainable destinations are particularly sustainable, each in their own unique and individual way. To be classified as a Swisstainable destination, a clearly defined commitment to sustainability is required. This includes a certain proportion of classified Swisstainable service providers such as hotels, restaurants, mountain railways, and outdoor sports providers in the destination. This percentage varies depending on the level. There are three levels in total, with Level III – leading setting the highest standards for a destination and requiring a recognized sustainability certificate. All Swisstainable destinations have also anchored sustainability in their strategy and communicate their activities in this area to their guests.
